I have now started on another quote: "I Am Old" as I have called it. This is a quote from The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring.
Here's the recording:
If you want to see the scene in the movie here it is:
Here is the script:
“I am old, Gandalf. I don't look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart of hearts.
Well-preserved indeed!
Why, I feel all thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean: like butter that has been scraped over too much bread.
That can't be right.
I need a change, or something.”
My favorite part in this script is "why, I feel thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean: like butter that has been scraped over too much bread."
I liked to stretch out the sound of the word "stretch." I am also having trouble to sound sarcastic in the "well preserved indeed" part.
What I like about the clip in the movie is that the actor did good on sounding shaky, and as if he couldn't find the right words to say to Gandalf. You could tell because the actor (purposely of course) paused a lot)
