Three Things I Learned About Adobe Audition

What three things I learned on Audition (the program I use for my voice acting) were this:

  • I found out how to record from a certain distance to eliminate background noises, such as having the microphone record from four feet versus one foot. You can do that by using the speech volume leveler feature. You use the dB scale that goes from 0 dB to 100 dB, the higher the number, the further your microphone records. The default setting is 45 dB.
  • When you select a part of your recording, you can only delete it, but I found out that when you select a part of your recording, there's an option where instead of deleting it you could do the opposite: delete every thing except what you selected.
  • When you wear headphones or earbuds, there is always sound coming from one earbud/headphone, left and right. I found out how to select the right or left side with out selecting both.
Those are the things I found out on Audition.

My brother, Caleb, was once doing a podcast using Audition and there was another guy talking with him. The other guy was on the right recording, and Caleb was on the left recording. There was some parts Caleb wanted to eliminate of his friend's voice side of the recording (the right side) without cutting his side (the left side). Of course, that third thing I found out was the answer to Caleb's problem.

Releasing Pigeons

Our neighbor asked us if we wanted to help release trained homing pigeons to his friends house (his friend outed the pigeons and was waiting at his house for the pigeons).

There were six cages, three of them were blue, and the other three were red. There were ten pigeons in each cage.

We first opened the red cages, then we waited five minutes then opened the blue cages (I opened a blue one and a red one).

Second blue cage release:

First red cage release:

The extra white flesh on the pigeon's beak means the more it has, the older the pigeon is. The owner lets them go play in the water once a week.
