Australian accent in Clinton Anderson video

I''m practicing repeating fourteen times the following phrase by Clinton Anderson. I'm doing this to learn how to speak with an Australian accent.

"So The Next Thing We're Gonna Talk About Mate"

Then I practice repeating the same phrase by myself. I used Audition to silence 5 other repeats.

"So The Next Thing We're Gonna Talk About Mate"

I got the audio sample from this video on YouTube:

What I Found Out on Audition

Today I found out the fade in & out selection tool.

Here is a picture:

ORANGE: (Above) Notice that this part of recording is puffed out like the other part of the recording
BLUE: Fade in (left)

RED: Fade out (right)

ORANGE: (Below) Notice that this part of recording is fading in as it goes along to the rest of the recording

So that's what I found out today on Audition. Even though I probably won't use this some time in the future for any jobs, at least I learned something very useful and I'll be ready if I do need to use it!

Accent Lessons

My mom found a person that was doing a free webinar for teaching a British accent for voice acting.

I'm already signed up for the webinar, and It will start tomorrow at 5 PM.

The person was going to teach me today, but then someone hired her for a VO job.

I hope everything will go out well!

I Finished Another Podcast

There was another podcast that I had to edit for my brother.

This podcast was longer than the other podcast I edited.

I was about twice as fast as I was for the other podcast I did. I worked on the podcast yesterday for a short amount of time, 30 minutes. It only took 2 hours and 45 more minutes for today and I finished.

My brother wasn't interviewing the same guy as before. The new one's name is Chris Anderson.

The problem about his side of the recording is that he used a phone to record, so sometimes you couldn't understand what he was saying since a phone has bad recording.

When I started the recording it was 28 minutes long, and when I finished it was 22 minutes long, which means I edited out 6 minutes.

I Finished Editing My Brother's Podcast with Liam Hoffman

I finished my brother's interview podcast with his guest on the topic of making axes. The name of the guest is Liam Hoffman who is a 19 year old professional axe smith (if you want to read more about it click this link: http://voiceofsimeon.posthaven.com/editing-a-podcast).

Before I edited my brother's podcast it was about 16 minutes long. And when I finished it it was about 13 minutes long, which means I edited out about 3 minutes! It now sounds like he knows what he is talking about because he does not sound like he needs to think up what to say.

Most of what was edited out was the "uh"s and "um''s and long pauses. I also cut out a part where my brother was talking to Liam when getting ready for the official part of the recording.

What was most annoying about the recording was that on Liam's side of the recording, there was a background scratching noise. I could not get it out. If I tried deleting it, I would delete also what Liam was saying.

I have tried using the paintbrush selection tool in Audition to get out the scratching noise, but I don't know how to use it correctly.

I had to leave the sound in.

My brother might give me another podcast for me to work on, and this will probably be longer than the first one.
